Payment Method:
The rental fee can be paid by cash, Visa, Master Card, AMEX, debit card or gift certificate.
Deposit:
75% to 100% deposit is required to hold garments. Current valid photo identification (driver's licence or passport) is required and will be photo copied when garments are booked.
Rental Times (pickup and return):
Weekend Rentals - Pickup 3:00pm Thursday. Return by 6:00pm Monday (Tuesday 10:00am if Monday is a Stat Holiday)
Weekday Rentals - Pickup 3:00pm the day before the event. Return by 6:00pm the day after the event.
There will be a charge of $15 per rental outfit for early pick up. Alternate pick up and return dates must be pre-arranged for all rentals.
Rental Return:
Timely return of rentals, garment bags and hangers is solely the responsibility of the customer. Any charges incurred will be deducted from the preauthorization.
Late Return Charges:
Rentals returned late will be charged the full rental fee for each day the item/outfit is late. The late fees will be deducted from the preauthorization at 10:00 am of business the day following the expected return of the rental package.
Credit Towards Purchase:
100% of the rental fee may be deducted from the purchase of a new outfit within 14 days of the rental (rental proof required). This policy does not apply to store sales. (When the purchase is a W9Y package 20% or the cost of the rental - whichever is larger - will be subtracted from the total)
Damage/Dirty/Lost Policy:
Renters will be responsible for additional cleaning and repair costs beyond what Scottish Imports considers to be normal wear and tear. Repair work is charged to the customer at a rate of $35 per hour with a $10.00 minimum; cost of materials is extra. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental property, including garment bags and hangers is at full retail value. The preauthorization security deposit will be used to cover this cost. The balance - if greater than the preauthorization - is the responsibility of the customer and is payable immediately to Scottish Imports by VISA, Master Card, AMEX, or debit card.
Preauthorization:
At time of pick-up a preauthorization of at least $500 per person will be secured on your credit card*. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted for preauthorized security deposits as of March 1, 2008. The amount of the preauthorization is dependant on the number of outfits rented. The preauthorization amount is NON NEGOTIABLE. For large rental parties each individual being responsible for their own preauthorization is always an option. Preauthorization funds are held in trust for Scottish Imports for a period of 3 - 5 business days.Customers are responsible for charges beyond the value of the pre-authorization.
1 outfit $500 2 - 4 outfits $1000 5 - 8 outfits $1500 9 or more $2000
Cancellation:
Full refunds > 4 days notice prior to pick up date
Deposit forfeited < than 4 days notice prior to pick up date.
Loss and Damage:
ALL deficiencies and/or damages will be deducted from the preauthorization when garments are returned, unless another payment method is presented. Refunds will be provided when items are returned.
